To celebrate the 5th anniversary of Circles, here is Anne Paceo’s very first EP on her own label, Jusqu’à la nuit. It’s a live recording — captured in concert at the Jazz sous les Pommiers festival — soon to be released digitally. A limited, numbered vinyl edition will also be available shortly.
Melodic pulses and distant wanderings… Vivid imagery and colorful inspirations… This is the very essence of Anne Paceo’s music. Beating time as one breaks through distance… Navigating rhythmic spaces like geographical ones… Between North and South, Anne Paceo constantly travels the world in search of new cultures and new sounds. She has explored more than forty countries, always seeking impressions, landscapes to contemplate, and sacred moments — eager to translate what moves her beyond borders.
Nourished by this openness to the world, she is now turning toward the exploration of new voices. These are the circular dynamics that radiate through Circles — a blossoming that intersects with a constant, perpetual (r)evolution. A continuation of a unique musical journey.
“Anne Paceo hypnotizes her audience and freely blows up all formats. The Circles Live EP is a brilliant testament to this foundational work of the ‘Pacéenne’ aesthetic.”
“Anne Paceo is indeed working on developing a global language — one that flies over continents and reconciles discipline with ambition. Circles Live, just like the 2016 album from which it draws its repertoire, is a wonder-filled record — a sparkling, joyful journey.”
“This version reveals the delightful symbiosis that takes place on stage between the members of the quartet — the very DNA of great bands.”
“On stage, the singular poetry of Anne Paceo’s music takes on an even more sensual and organic dimension.”
“A truly poetic and inspired canvas.”
