To celebrate the 5th anniversary of “Circles”, here is Anne Paceo’s first EP on her own label, “Jusqu’à la nuit”. It is a live album to be released digitally and recorded live at the Jazz sous les Pommiers festival. A limited and numbered edition vinyl is also available.
Melodic pulsations and distant wanderings… Imaginative contemplations and colourful inspirations…. This is the essence of Anne Paceo’s music. Beating time as well as breaking down distances… Criss-crossing rhythmic spaces as well as geographical ones… Between north and south, Anne Paceo never stops travelling the world, in search of new cultures and new sounds. She has discovered more than forty countries, in search of impressions, lands to contemplate and sacred moments, eager to describe what moves her beyond borders. With this openness to other places, she is now committed to exploring new voices. These are the circular dynamics that radiate through “Circles”, a blossoming that intersects with a constant and perpetual (r)evolution. And this in the continuity of a singular path.
“Anne Paceo hypnotizes her audience and allows herself to dynamite all formats. The Circles live EP is a marvellous example of this founding work of Paceo’s aesthetics.” – Télérama
“Anne Paceo is indeed working on the elaboration of a globalist language, flying over the continents, capable of reconciling rigour and demands. Circles Live, like the 2016 album from which it borrows its repertoire, is an album of wonder, a journey sparkling with joy.” – Citizen Jazz
“This version gives us the opportunity to hear the delicious symbiosis that is created on stage between the members of the quartet and that is the DNA of the great groups” – Madame Figaro
“On stage, the singular poetry of Anne Paceo’s music takes on an even more sensual and organic dimension” – Jazzmag
“A true poetic and inspired scene.” – FIP
